PM's Assistant Rashed Khan Claims Golam Parwar Held 'Secret Meeting' with Indian Intelligence Officer
Md Rashed Khan, political assistant to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, has claimed that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar held a secret meeting with a high-level Indian intelligence officer.
He made the claim in a post on his verified Facebook account at noon on Monday (October 26).
In the post he wrote, 'After Maghrib on October 16, at a house in Baridhara, a total of three people, including Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar and Jamaat leader ATM Masum, took part in this meeting with a high-level Indian intelligence officer.'
The prime minister's political assistant wrote, 'Those who speak against India all day, for what reason did they take part in a secret meeting with an officer of this Indian intelligence agency? Meeting an Indian diplomat and meeting a high-level Indian intelligence officer are not the same thing.'
Md Rashed Khan further wrote, 'If Mia Golam Parwar practises moral politics, I hope he will clarify this secret meeting. Otherwise it will be taken that Jamaat has engaged in a deep conspiracy against the state. The first trap of this conspiracy is Jamaat's plan for a movement together with the Awami League!'
