Bull rider Justin 'Blake' Saylor (35) has died after being thrown from a bull and stomped on at the Fox Hollow Rodeo in Waynesville, Ohio, in the United States. The incident happened on Saturday evening.

Police said that despite wearing a protective vest, Saylor suffered a traumatic chest injury. He was pronounced dead at hospital, according to FOX 19 Cincinnati.

Fox Hollow Rodeo said in a post that there are no words to express the sadness it is feeling. Its thoughts and prayers are with Saylor's family, friends and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.

A woman named Lindsay Marie, who appears to be his girlfriend, said in a post that Saylor had always said that when his time came, he hoped it would be doing what he loved most, riding bulls. She also wrote that she wished she could hold him one last time and tell him how much she loved him.

A few months before his death, Saylor said he had suffered a broken collarbone following a bull-riding incident at another rodeo event. He posted on social media a picture of a fractured collarbone and photos of himself on the ground inside the ring.

Police are investigating the incident as an accidental death.
