UCB Investment Marks Six Years, Having Helped Raise More Than Tk 170 Billion in Capital
UCB Investment Limited (UCBIL) has completed six years and entered its seventh year. Since starting in 2020, the firm has completed 61 investment banking transactions and helped raise more than Tk 170 billion in capital for various banks, financial institutions and corporate organisations.
At its sixth anniversary, the firm also holds recognition from the international magazine Euromoney. In 2026, UCBIL was named Bangladesh's best investment bank for the fourth consecutive time. In the same year it also received the award for Bangladesh's best financing-solutions investment bank at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026.
Since its founding, UCBIL has expanded its work across equity and debt capital markets, structured finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate advisory, valuation and loan syndication. It also has experience raising capital through equity, debt and hybrid methods.
UCBIL has served as issue manager for about half of the bonds listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
Against a backdrop of no new IPOs in the primary share market for more than two years, the firm is working to restore momentum and rebuild investor confidence. As part of that effort, on 18 October it organised a roadshow under an initiative to list a leading power-sector company on the capital market through a book-building IPO.
The sixth-anniversary celebration was attended by United Commercial Bank PLC chief executive Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, additional managing director Adnan Masud, and UCB Investment managing director and chief executive Tanzim Alamgir.
Senior officials of UCB, UCB Investment, UCB Stock Brokerage and UCB Asset Management also took part in the event.
