BNP acting secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has claimed that voting in the Thakurgaon-1 by-election took place in a peaceful environment, without allegations of polling-centre capture, vote fraud or clashes. Describing the voter presence and the election atmosphere as satisfactory, the party has expressed optimism about this election.
