20 Killed in a Day of Russian Attacks in Ukraine, 14 of Them at a Dnipro Railway Station

At least 14 people were killed in a Russian drone strike on a crowded railway station in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro. Officials said that on the same day, Thursday, five more people were killed in daytime attacks on other provincial cities and one person was killed in a late-night missile attack on the capital Kyiv — 20 deaths in a single day, according to Reuters and AFP.
The series of attacks in a single day spread fresh panic across Ukrainian cities. At the same time, a locally agreed six-day ceasefire taking effect in the southern Kherson region has raised cautious hope that diplomatic talks might resume.
Writing on Telegram, Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi said Russia is deliberately targeting ordinary civilians — on trains, at stations and in residential buildings. In his words, there is no justification for this terror, and there never can be.
Kyiv's military administration said fresh missile strikes hit various parts of the capital shortly before 11 p.m. local time, killing one person. Several warehouses caught fire in the attack, and a building on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River was damaged by missile debris.
A few hours earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the attacks as 'extremely cruel' and 'deliberate'. He said the strikes were being launched precisely when everyone was expecting steps to reduce tensions.
Zelensky warned that Ukraine has intelligence that Russia is preparing new ballistic missile attacks. In his words, Kyiv needs the means to repel all of this Russian evil and is waiting for the relevant decisions.
