Two more children die with measles symptoms, death toll reaches 1,251; 1,391 infected in a day

Two more children have died with measles symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of deaths from measles and measles symptoms since the start of the outbreak has reached 1,251.

The information was disclosed in a press release sent from the Directorate General of Health Services' control room on Friday (30 October).

According to the release, another 1,391 children were affected by measles and measles symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours. Of them, measles was confirmed by test in 75 children. The remaining 1,316 children received treatment with measles symptoms.

According to the health directorate, from 15 March to 30 October this year, 1,146 children died with measles symptoms in the country. In the same period, another 105 children died of test-confirmed measles.

The total number of suspected measles patients in the country now stands at 227,673. Of them, 23,770 are test-confirmed measles patients.

A total of 202,639 patients have been admitted to hospital. Of them, 194,399 have returned home with discharge after treatment.
