Tahsif Death: Naval Police Arrest Disha, the Young Woman Seen on CCTV, to Seek 7-Day Remand

The Naval Police have arrested a young woman named Disha (19) in connection with the death of former Air Force Flight Lieutenant K M Tahsif Sauri. She has been described as Tahsif's 'alleged girlfriend'. Deep had earlier been arrested in the case; now Disha has been arrested.
At around 2pm on Sunday (1 November), Abdullah Al Mamun, Superintendent of Police of the Naval Police's Dhaka region, confirmed the matter. He said police want to produce Disha in court and take her on remand for questioning.
Superintendent Abdullah Al Mamun said Disha needs to be questioned as part of the investigation into Tahsif's death. For this, an application for her seven-day remand will be made to the court.
Earlier, on the night of 27 October, Disha was seen on CCTV footage from Nest Restaurant and Bar in Uttara, Dhaka, along with Tahsif and his junior friend Ahmed Shahriar Reza Deep. Her name came up in the investigation through that footage.
Analysing the CCTV footage, it was seen that at 10:17pm on 27 October, Tahsif, Deep and Disha arrived at Nest Restaurant and Bar in Sector 11 of Uttara. They went there by motorcycle. Deep later arrived there on another motorcycle. The three were then seen entering the restaurant together.
Footage from another camera in the restaurant showed Tahsif and the young woman waiting in front of a lift. A short while later Deep arrived there wearing a helmet. The three then boarded the lift together.
About an hour and a half later, at 11:51pm, they left the restaurant. They then left the place by motorcycle.
The next day, on the afternoon of 28 October, the Tongi Naval Police outpost recovered Tahsif Sauri's body from the Rajabari Ghat area of the Turag River in Uttarkhan, Dhaka. The investigation into that death is now seeing one arrest after another.
