At Least 8 Palestinians, Including a Four-Year-Old Child, Killed in Israeli Drone Strikes in Gaza

At least eight Palestinians, including a four-year-old child, have been killed in attacks by the Israeli military in Gaza. The information was reported on Sunday (November 1), citing hospitals.
In an Israeli drone strike in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, five Palestinian police members were killed and several others injured. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Interior and National Security, the police members were targeted while performing their regular duties.
The ministry condemned the killings and called on the international community to take urgent steps and apply pressure so that Israel stops killing police members. In a statement, the ministry said at least 75 police and security members have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire with Hamas took effect in October last year.
The Israeli army, on the other hand, claimed that the target of its strike was a militant in southern Gaza.
In a separate incident, at least three Palestinians, including a four-year-old boy, were killed in a drone strike in the Rimal area of Gaza City in northern Gaza, according to sources at Al-Shifa Hospital. Taj Mall was also targeted in that strike. Another person injured in an earlier strike on Sunday also died.
Reporting from Gaza City, Al Jazeera correspondent Hani Mahmoud said that in the past few hours a group of law enforcement members patrolling Al-Mawasi to protect displaced civilians were targeted, and five police members were killed on the spot.
He added that an hour after that strike, three people, including a father and his son walking along Revolution Street in central Gaza City, were reported killed. He said Israeli attacks have not stopped despite the so-called ceasefire that has been in place for more than a year.
