Four people have been burned in a fire caused by a gas cylinder leak in the Chowrasta area of Gazipur. The accident happened on Wednesday night at a cylinder re-testing centre in the Naojor area of Chowrasta.

The fire broke out at United Cylinder Re-testing Centre-2, located beside Riaz Filling Station. The four burn victims were rescued and taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka.

Hospital sources said Ahad (19) was the most seriously injured among the victims; 55 percent of his body was burned and his condition is critical.
