Six more children die with measles symptoms, 1,466 infected in a day

Six more children have died with measles symptoms in the country in the past 24 hours. With this, the number of deaths from measles and measles symptoms since the outbreak began has risen to 1,233.

Meanwhile, another 1,466 children were infected with measles and measles symptoms in the country in the past 24 hours.

This information was given in a press release sent from the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday, 26 October.

The release said measles was detected through testing in 78 children in the past 24 hours. In addition, 1,388 children received treatment with measles symptoms.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services, from 15 March to 26 October this year, 1,129 children died with measles symptoms in the country. In the same period, another 104 children died after being infected with measles confirmed through testing.

The total number of suspected measles patients in the country has risen to 222,552. Among them, 23,478 are measles patients confirmed through testing.

A total of 197,999 people have been admitted to hospital. Among them, 190,036 have returned home after receiving discharge certificates on completion of treatment.
