The Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASAD) has condemned the attack on the office of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB). The party has also demanded the release of two detained Dhaka metropolitan Youth Union leaders.

The demands were raised on Tuesday (27 October) morning in a statement signed by JASAD office secretary Sajjad Hossain. The statement also demanded the immediate arrest and punishment of the attackers.

The statement said a group of people attacked the CPB office on Monday night (26 October). Several leaders and activists were physically assaulted in the attack and several people were arrested.

JASAD said mob violence has become a national curse. The party called for building a united national resistance against such mob actors.

The statement demanded the immediate and unconditional release of Dhaka Metropolitan North Youth Union president Iram Molla and general secretary Sohel Fakir, who were detained by police at the time of the attack on the CPB office.
