Chaksu AGS Toufik Spends None of His Hospitality Allowance on Himself, Gifts Computers to Three Halls

Ayubur Rahman Toufik, joint general secretary (AGS) of the Chittagong University Central Students' Union (Chaksu), has not spent a single taka on himself from the 250,000 taka allocated to him for office management, hospitality and travel. From that allocation he has gifted one computer each to three halls of the university.
From the same funds he has also installed a high-quality water filter in the dining hall of Shahid Farhad Hossain Hall. He said the filter was installed to resolve that hall's students' long-standing shortage of pure drinking water.
Toufik announced the information in a post on his personal Facebook account on Monday evening (26 October). He had delivered the gifts to the halls earlier, on Saturday (24 October).
Toufik said, “I have not spent a single taka of the 250,000 taka allocated for my office management and refreshments on myself. With that allocation money I have gifted computers to three halls of the university. I have also installed a high-quality water filter in the dining hall of Shahid Farhad Hall to resolve its students' long-standing pure water crisis.”
He added that throughout his full year in office he personally bore all costs of office management, hospitality and travel, and spent no university money on himself.
Ayubur Rahman Toufik is the only AGS elected from the Chhatra Dal panel in the Chaksu election. He is also joint general secretary of the Chittagong University branch of Chhatra Dal.
