After a two-year wait, ‘Ritukamini’ reaches cinemas in the month of victory, releasing December 4

The film ‘Ritukamini’, directed by Zahid Hossain, finished shooting two years ago but had not seen the light of day since. It is finally set for release. The film reaches cinemas in December, the month of victory.
Director Zahid Hossain said the release date has initially been fixed for December 4. A formal announcement will be made at a press conference next November.
Shooting of ‘Ritukamini’ began two years ago and filming was completed the same year. The maker had also received the censor certificate. But no news of a release had come since then.
‘Ritukamini’ has been made against a rural backdrop. It will portray stories of social degradation, immorality and various family obstacles.
Abdun Noor Sajal and Adhora Khan appear as a pair in the film. It is the first film of this pair. Fazlur Rahman Babu, Dipa Khondokar and Rina Khan, among others, also star in it.
Speaking about his character, Abdun Noor Sajal said, ‘In Ritukamini, viewers will see a picture of society that everyone perhaps sees, but no one talks about. I have played the role of a village rogue. I hope the audience will like it.’
Adhora Khan said, ‘The story of the film is wonderful. My character also has a lot of variation — a very simple village girl. I hope the audience will warmly accept the film after its release.’
