Two More Children Die With Measles Symptoms, 1,417 Affected in 24 Hours: Total Deaths 1,254

Two more children have died with measles symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of deaths from measles and measles symptoms since the start of the outbreak has reached 1,254.

The information was given in a press release sent from the Directorate General of Health Services control room on Sunday, November 1.

The release said another 1,417 children were affected by measles and measles symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours.

The report said measles was detected through testing in 64 children in the last 24 hours. In addition, 1,353 children received treatment with measles symptoms.

According to the health directorate, from March 15 to November 1 this year, 1,149 children died with measles symptoms in the country. In the same period, another 105 children died after being confirmed with measles through testing.

The total number of suspected measles patients in the country has reached 230,017. Of them, 23,935 are confirmed measles patients through testing.

A total of 204,783 people have been admitted to hospital. Of them, 196,183 returned home with discharge certificates after completing treatment.
