Bellingham's Milestone 50th Goal Helps Real Madrid to Easy 3-0 Win Over Racing Santander

Staff Reporter

Kylian Mbappe scored despite the China controversy, and Jude Bellingham scored a milestone goal, as Real Madrid beat Racing Santander 3-0 with ease.

Real went ahead in the 11th minute with a penalty goal. Mbappe was fouled by Matteo Prati inside Santander's box. The French forward took the kick himself and put the ball in the net.

In the 21st minute Bellingham doubled Real's lead. He carried the ball from the halfway line and pushed it into the empty net over the head of the advancing goalkeeper. It was his 50th goal in a Real Madrid shirt.

Before half-time, Real's record signing Yan Diomande scored the third goal. After a corner kick was half-cleared, he made it 3-0 with a fine volley.

In the 59th minute Mbappe struck the post with a curled shot from the edge of the box. Santander were awarded a penalty, but the video assistant referee (VAR) said the ball had deflected off Aurelien Tchouameni's boot and accidentally struck his hand.

With this win, Real have won all of their last five matches. In the previous match they had beaten Barcelona 2-1 in the league's biggest fixture.

In the points table, the win cut Real's gap to leaders Barcelona to three points. Real have 27 points; Barcelona have 30, and Real's city rivals Atletico Madrid are second with 28 points.

After the match Bellingham said: 'We played very well. After the win at Camp Nou this win was very important, so we are very happy. Scoring 50 goals for Real Madrid is a very special thing. Not just for me and my dream, but for the team as well.'
