Bowler Hunt Winners to Stay Under HP Unit, Tamim Takes Responsibility

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) ran a nationwide 'Bowler Hunt' programme last October. At the end of that programme, BCB president Tamim Iqbal handed prizes to the winners on Monday.

Foreign specialists worked alongside local coaches in the Bowler Hunt, it was stated. The programme's task was to find bowlers from different parts of the country.

Handing over the prizes, Tamim Iqbal said: 'For today's winners, on behalf of the BCB I want to say that their responsibility is now mine. They will stay under our HP unit. They will be groomed.'

He also said that if the winners can be groomed in the right way, they will be able to serve Bangladesh cricket much more. In his words, they will be looked after very well through experts, the medical team and every other arrangement needed, and the BCB will ensure that.

Thanking the coaches, Tamim said the effort the coaches made by going to every division and every city was a search for the next Nahid Rana, the next Marufa and the next Taskin. On behalf of the BCB, he thanked all of the coaches for that.
