Hajj Trip Uncertain If Full Package Money Is Not Paid by 7 December, Says HAB

Pilgrims initially registered for Hajj in 2027 must pay the full package money by 7 December and complete final registration. If the money is not deposited within the set time, the initial registration may be cancelled and their Hajj journey will become uncertain.
Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAB) secretary general Farid Ahmed Majumdar gave this information at a press conference held at a hotel in the capital on Monday (2 November). HAB president Syed Golam Sarwar and other leaders of the organisation were present at the time.
The HAB secretary general said the Saudi government has set a quota of 78,500 people for Bangladesh for Hajj in 2027. However, even after the quota was filled within the set time, about 20,000 Hajj pilgrims remain waiting.
HAB has demanded an additional quota of 20,000 pilgrims from the Saudi government to ensure the waiting pilgrims can perform Hajj. The secretary general demanded that diplomatic efforts be strengthened at government level for this purpose.
A written statement said about 30 lakh Saudi riyals held in the name of medical fees in this year's Hajj activities have already been returned. Gratitude was expressed for the cooperation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and relevant officials in getting this money back. At the same time, the Saudi authorities were requested to take necessary steps to return the remaining due money quickly.
At the press conference, thanks were given for the cooperation of the Saudi government and embassy, the Bangladesh embassy and relevant officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The organisation also sought media cooperation to make next year's Hajj management proper and orderly.
