November 7 Declared Annual Public Holiday for National Revolution and Solidarity Day, But It Falls on a Saturday This Year

The government has declared a general holiday every year on November 7 for National Revolution and Solidarity Day. The Ministry of Public Administration has also issued a gazette notification for the day.
However, because November 7 falls on a Saturday this year, government employees will not get the benefit of an additional holiday. The day falls within the weekly holiday.
The notification was recently issued from the Rules-6 branch of the Ministry of Public Administration. It was signed by Deputy Secretary Waliul Daman.
At a cabinet meeting on October 5, a decision was taken to include November 7 as a Category 'Ka' day in the Cabinet Division's circular on the celebration of national and international days.
According to the notification, a general holiday will be observed every year on November 7 for National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
