Sweden Embassy in Dhaka Stops Processing Schengen Visa Applications, Applicants Directed to Swedish Migration Agency
The Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka is no longer processing any Schengen visa applications. The embassy announced the information in a message on Monday (2 November).
The embassy said that, as a result, service seekers must now contact the Swedish Migration Agency directly for Schengen visas, appeals concerning invitation letters, matters relating to a specific application, or any other related question. The embassy has also provided a relevant website link for the necessary information on the matter.
The message further said that the embassy is no longer authorised to provide any guidance, information or assistance relating to Schengen visas.
In this situation, visa applicants and their sponsors have been asked to contact the Swedish Migration Agency directly, instead of the embassy, for all questions and communications relating to Schengen visas.
The Schengen visa is a short-term permit for entry to 29 European countries. Using it, a traveller can travel freely among the Schengen agreement countries for a maximum of 90 days within a period of 180 days.
