Staff Reporter

Severe cyclone Murasu, which was located over the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andhra Pradesh coast, moved north-northwestwards and crossed India’s south Andhra Pradesh coast. It is now positioned over south Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas and may gradually weaken, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said.

The Met office confirmed the information in a forecast issued on Tuesday (November 3) from 9am for the next 120 hours. The bulletin gives area-wise details of the weather and temperatures for the coming days.

According to the forecast, under the cyclone’s influence the weather across the country may remain mainly dry on Wednesday (November 4) with a temporarily partly cloudy sky. Night and day temperatures across the country may fall slightly that day.

On Thursday (November 5), the weather is likely to remain mainly dry across the country. During this period, however, night and day temperatures may fall by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, the forecast says.

On Friday (November 6) the weather will remain dry; night temperatures may fall slightly across the country and day temperatures will remain nearly unchanged. On November 7 the weather may remain dry with a partly cloudy sky; night temperatures may fall slightly that day while day temperatures remain nearly unchanged.
