GTA fans plan a 'last ride' through Los Santos on the night before GTA VI arrives

The Grand Theft Auto fan community is planning a joint 'last ride' through Los Santos, the city of the old game, on the night before Grand Theft Auto VI is released.
The hotly anticipated GTA VI is set to drop on November 19, and thousands of players are planning to take one last lap around the map of Los Santos the night before its release.
Los Santos is the in-game world of Grand Theft Auto V, based heavily on the US city of Los Angeles.
There has been a 13-year gap between the two instalments. As of September 17 this year, GTA V itself would be old enough to see a PG-13 movie in theatres, the report noted.
The plan, pitched by the GTA community and called the 'Last Ride', has been trending heavily on social media, with gaming outlets all over the world picking up on it.
Amid the nostalgia, however, one practical fact remains: GTA V will not stop being playable after November 19. On November 20, players will still be able to put the game on their Xbox or PlayStation and ride around Los Santos as much as they like.
As an example, the report noted that when The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask came out, players did not throw away their copies of Ocarina of Time. Demand for Ocarina of Time has remained so high after 28 years that a remake is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 later this month.
According to the report, GTA V is unique because of the world its developers created and the memories its players created in it. The 'Last Ride' is being seen as a symbolic way of reminiscing about those 13 years.
