Clash between two villages over football match in Sunamganj’s Chhatak leaves many injured

A clash broke out between residents of two villages over a football match in Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj. Many people were injured in the clash.

Newspaper reports differ on the number of injured. A report in Ajker Bangladesh put the number of injured at more than fifty, while Jugantor reported that more than a hundred people were injured in the clash between the two villages.

According to the reports, a dispute that began over the football game later turned into a bloody clash between the residents of the two villages.
