Pakistan Want to Put India to a Hard Test Despite Missing Half Their Side, Says Captain Ghazi

Pakistan captain Alamgir Ghazi does not want to take refuge in any excuses before facing arch-rivals India in the SAFF Championship. His team have to take the field without almost half of their regular starting eleven, yet he sent a message that they will not give India an easy ride.

India and Pakistan will face each other at 3:30 pm in the tournament's opening match at the National Stadium.

Before facing India, Pakistan captain Ghazi frankly admitted his team's limitations at a press conference.

Ghazi said, 'The boys we have are experienced players. But half the players are outside our main squad. If they come, the team will be even better. But the squad we have now plays regular football and the team's players are also experienced. Whoever we play, there will be a good fight. We will try to win the tournament.'

Ghazi accepted that facing India is always extra pressure. He said it is a very special match for the players of both teams.

Expressing his determination to give the opponents a hard time, the Pakistan captain said, 'We want to play positive and fighting football and put India to a hard test on the field.'
