Fire at cylinder re-testing centre in Gazipur's Naojor injures three workers

A fire broke out at United Cylinder Re-Testing Centre-2 in the Naojor area of Gazipur city. The incident took place at around 8:40pm on Wednesday (November 4) and three workers were injured. Their names and identities were not immediately known.
Md Hiron, senior station officer of Bhogra Modern Fire Service, said two fire service units rushed to the spot after receiving news of the fire at 8:40pm. The blaze was brought under control after about half an hour of effort.
Md Hiron said it is initially suspected that the fire started from gas leaking out of a gas-filled cylinder.
Local residents, however, claimed the fire spread after a gas-filled cylinder exploded. Eight workers were working inside the establishment at the time of the incident. Three of them were injured.
Local people rescued the three injured workers and took them to a local hospital for treatment.
