Light rain forecast in five divisions including Dhaka, temperatures may fall by 1 to 2 degrees nationwide

Light rain may occur at one or two places in five divisions of the country, including Dhaka, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said. The divisions are Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna.

The information was given in a weather forecast issued on Wednesday (November 4) at 6 p.m. for the following 120 hours. Within the first 24 hours of that period, light rain is possible at one or two places in those five divisions.

The Met Department said the land depression over Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas has moved north-northeastwards and is now lying over the same area as a well-marked low.

According to the forecast, the low may move further north-northwestwards and gradually weaken.

Outside the areas where rain is possible, the weather elsewhere in the country may remain mainly dry, with a partly cloudy sky, the forecast said.

During the same period, night and day temperatures across the country may fall by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, the Met Department also said.
