Six more die of dengue in a day, 1,866 newly infected

Six people have died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. In the same period, 1,866 more people have been newly infected with dengue.

The information was given in a press release sent by the Directorate General of Health Services on Wednesday (November 4) afternoon.

The release says that in the 24 hours until 8am today, six more people died.

Of the 1,866 people infected with dengue in this period, 206 patients are in Barishal Division, 256 in Chattogram Division, 868 in Dhaka Division, 215 in Khulna Division, 66 in Mymensingh Division, 171 in Rajshahi Division, 71 in Rangpur Division and 13 in Sylhet Division. By division, the highest number of patients is in Dhaka Division.

Meanwhile, so far this year 445 people have died of dengue in the country.

Besides, so far this year 142,775 dengue patients have been admitted to hospital. At present 5,936 patients are admitted to hospital. In this period, 136,394 people have been discharged from hospital.
