Staff Reporter

United Medical College Hospital has been given responsibility for providing emergency healthcare to players and spectators taking part in the SAFF Championship 2026.

For the tournament organised by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), the institution will keep the necessary doctors, nurses, ambulances and emergency medical equipment ready to ensure medical care.

In line with SAFF's set medical requirements, three Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances will be on duty at the National Stadium to provide rapid medical care to local and foreign players and spectators.

Four specialist doctors, four nurses and eight healthcare professionals will also be on duty.

Separate medical rooms will be available on the pitch and in the spectator galleries for immediate treatment and to handle emergency situations. First aid equipment, two automated external defibrillators (AEDs), wheelchairs, stretchers and necessary medicines and medical equipment will also be kept ready on the field.

United Medical College Hospital works towards ensuring world-class healthcare in Bangladesh. Providing medical care to players and spectators at the SAFF Championship following international protocols will further enrich the institution's experience in emergency healthcare management.
