The joint air exercise 'Exercise Cope South-2026', held with the participation of the Bangladesh Air Force and the United States Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), has ended.

The five-day exercise concluded successfully on Thursday at Bangladesh Air Force Base A K Khandkar in Dhaka Cantonment. The Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said this in a notice.

Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal Rusad Din Asad was present as chief guest at the closing ceremony. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of joint training and mutual exchange of experience between the two countries' forces.

Colonel Henry E. Plagradt, head of the United States delegation, spoke at the event about the various activities of the exercise.

The notice said training was given during the five-day joint exercise on important subjects such as operation and maintenance of C-130J and C-130B transport aircraft, air traffic safety, hazardous materials management, and aviation medicine.

In addition, experience was exchanged on air cargo transport, airbase security, and firefighting and rescue operations after an accident.

A total of 120 members of the Bangladesh Air Force and 18 members of the US Pacific Air Forces took part in the exercise. The exercise had begun on 1 November.
