Two young students from Khulna have handed Prime Minister Tarique Rahman a copy of the holy Quran written entirely by hand and a picture drawn by hand. They presented the gifts to the prime minister on Thursday afternoon (5 November) at the opening ceremony of 'Notun Kuri Sports Season-2' at Khulna District Stadium.

During the ceremony, young student Orin Safat Khan handed the prime minister the copy of the holy Quran she had written entirely by hand. Orin is a student of Bangladesh Navy School and College in Khulna. The prime minister received the gift with affection and warmth and gave the child his prayers and blessings.

Orin Safat Khan said she felt very happy to meet the prime minister and give him the Quran she had written by hand, that he spoke with her, and that after looking at her written pages he said they were 'very beautiful'. She also expressed her wish to meet Zaima Rahman.

At the same ceremony, another student, Nayla Taslim Zaman, presented the prime minister with a picture she had drawn herself.

The prime minister happily received the gifts from the children and encouraged them to continue their creative pursuits alongside their studies. The children's exceptional and creative gifts drew praise from everyone present at the ceremony.
