White House calls Kimmel's brain 'peanut-sized' after host urges Trump to resign

The White House has fired back sharply after ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel called on President Donald Trump to resign following the midterm elections. White House spokesperson Davis Ingle told Fox News Digital on Friday that Kimmel's brain has 'rotted'.
Ingle said Kimmel's case of 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' is so advanced that it has completely rotted his 'peanut-sized brain'. The spokesperson said Kimmel is far more entertaining when viewers are laughing at him than with him, and that his real talent is his failing ratings. Ingle added that the statement took more brain cells to write than the average Jimmy Kimmel joke.
In his Wednesday night monologue, Kimmel called on Trump to resign. He described the Democrats' success in Tuesday's midterm elections as a 'blue wave' and rejected the president's claim that Republicans would have fared better had Trump been on the ballot.
Kimmel said Trump was on the ballot, that he is on everything, and that he had divided the country like no one before. He said the only time Trump brought everyone together was when they all teamed up to get rid of him.
In the same broadcast, Kimmel showed an image of Trump appearing to be asleep during a White House meeting, referred to the president as 'Nappy Gilmore' and again urged him to resign. He said nobody wants Trump and that even Trump no longer wants to be president, and suggested he take his crypto money and buy an island.
The exchange was not the first this week. Earlier in the week, responding to Kimmel's post-election coverage, Ingle had given Fox News Digital another statement calling Kimmel a 'no-talent loser' who had beclowned himself with tanking ratings. That statement added that Kimmel is so devoid of actual talent that nobody with common sense would watch him unless it was to laugh at him.
Kimmel addressed that earlier statement on his own show. He said that was kind of the point of the show and that apparently he had beclowned himself once again. Addressing Ingle as 'Danny Dingle', he said it seemed like a bad day to call him a loser.
Media commentator and Hollywood in Toto editor Christian Toto told Fox News Digital on Wednesday that Kimmel long ago traded comedy for activism and pushes Democratic Party talking points. Toto said this week's response to the midterms was nothing new.
What is new, Toto said, is the tightrope Kimmel is walking with ABC. He said the network wants sizable budget cuts to keep the show afloat. The two sides will likely reach a compromise, he said, because for ABC executives the show's propaganda purposes overshadow financial concerns — but he questioned how long that would last.
