Two women's college teams score on their own baskets on the same day as New Mexico State wins at the death

Two women's college basketball teams in the United States scored on their own baskets on the same day on Friday, gifting points to their opponents. The teams were New Mexico State and Northwestern State.
Northwestern State's incident came in its matchup against Arkansas. Lady Demons guard Karma Wynn put the ball into the Razorbacks' basket on an inbounds play in the backcourt. It happened after an offensive foul, when her team had been guarding that basket and had made a defensive stop.
The reaction from the Northwestern State bench captured the shock of the moment. An assistant coach buried her head in her clipboard, while teammates nearly leaped out of their seats.
The mistake handed Arkansas two free points. The Razorbacks went on to win the game big, 89-59.
In the other game, New Mexico State was playing Southern Utah. With just over 20 seconds remaining, New Mexico State trailed 61-60.
New Mexico State guard Emma Christiana then stole an inbounds pass, but kept going toward the wrong end of the court and laid the ball into her own basket. That put Southern Utah ahead 63-60. The scorekeeper did not notice the blunder at first either; on the broadcast scoreboard it appeared as if New Mexico State had taken the lead.
In the final seconds, however, freshman Stacy Chovino scored twice for New Mexico State, including the game-winning basket with two seconds remaining, this time on the correct basket. The Aggies won the game 64-63.
