Tiffany Stratton becomes champion by betraying her friend: Chelsea Green's dream shattered at Crown Jewel

Tiffany Stratton betrayed her friend Chelsea Green moments after Green's emotional championship victory. On Saturday at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Stratton defeated Green to become women's champion.

Green had defeated Liv Morgan to win the Women's Crown Jewel Championship at The Venue in Riyadh.

Before the match, Morgan had sent her Judgment Day stablemates, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, to the back. She said she didn't need their help to beat Green. She was in control of the match for the most part, but she took her eyes off Green for a split second, and Green shocked her with the win.

Green delivered a heartfelt speech after the victory. She said: "It's been a long 13 years. … I do deserve it. Thirteen years I left blood, sweat, tears in this ring. They told me for 13 years, I didn't deserve it. They told me for 13 years that all I was a placeholder and a stepping stone for everybody else. Thirteen years I was overlooked. And now, we did it baby. You can officially call me the greatest women's champion of all time."

But before the celebration could end, Morgan blindsided Green. Then Tiffany Stratton, the Women's Money in the Bank holder, came out from the crowd and hit Morgan with her briefcase.

Perez and Rodriguez tried to join the fray but Green knocked them down. It looked like Stratton was going to cash in on Morgan.

Instead, the unthinkable happened. Stratton nailed Green with the briefcase as well. Stratton decided to turn on her friend and cash in on Green. She hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever and pinned Green for the win.

Stratton became the WWE women's champion for the second time. Not only did she take the title from Green, but she also stole the Crown Jewel Championship and the Crown Jewel ring from her. Green was left in tears.

Green still appears to be recognized as the Crown Jewel champion, but Stratton sure sent a message by taking those material items from her.

It is the second time Stratton has been able to take advantage of a women's champion under the guise of friendship, having done so against Nia Jax last year after getting the briefcase in 2024.

A night that began as Green's crowning moment after 13 years ended in betrayal by a friend, with the championship in Stratton's hands.
