'Do not daydream, Hasina will never return in this life,' says Liberation War Affairs Minister
Liberation War Affairs Minister Advocate Ahmed Azam Khan has said: 'Hasina said, the daughter of Sheikh does not flee. Yet in the politics of Bangladesh, only one person has fled — Sheikh's daughter Hasina. Now I hear she will come in December, and her activists are preparing. I tell them, do not daydream. Hasina says such things from time to time to put you in danger. That is her character. In this life, Hasina will never return.'
He added: 'We want Hasina to return. She is now a death-row convict. Let Hasina return, go to court, go to jail. She has committed countless mass killings. The noose will hang around her neck.'
He made the remarks as chief guest at a discussion meeting organised by Sakhipur upazila and poura BNP in Tangail on Sunday (8 November), on the occasion of National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
Addressing the Forest Department, the Liberation War Affairs Minister said: 'Do not harass the people of Sakhipur. I have spoken twice standing in the Jatiya Sangsad to abolish the illegal Atiya Forest Ordinance. If I get the chance, I will speak again. I have also spoken with the Forest Minister several times on this matter.'
The discussion meeting was chaired by Nazim Uddin Master, acting president of upazila BNP. Also present were former upazila BNP president Khorshed Alam Master, acting general secretary Kabir Hasan, organising secretary Sikdar Mohammad Chhabur Reza and leaders and activists of BNP and its various affiliated organisations.
