Bangladesh women lose 31-20 to Sri Lanka at Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship

Bangladesh have lost to Sri Lanka in the women's division of the Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship. The match was played on Monday (26 October) at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad, India, where Sri Lanka won 31-20.

Bangladesh fell behind in the first half, which ended 15-9 in Sri Lanka's favour. Brishti, Khadija and their teammates tried to fight back after the break but could not turn the match around.

This is Bangladesh's second defeat in three matches. They had opened the tournament with a 34-25 loss to Kenya.

In their second match, however, the Bangladesh women recorded a commanding win, thrashing Scotland 75-15.

Bangladesh's next opponents are England.
