Shah Rukh in Black With Blood Stains in First 'King' Poster, Caption Reads 'Not a Killer, a Lover'

On Tuesday morning Shah Rukh Khan released the official poster of his upcoming film 'King'. His new look in the poster drew attention, as did the line he attached to it, which created curiosity among fans.

Last year, on his 60th birthday, Shah Rukh Khan surprised audiences by releasing a teaser of the upcoming film. A year later, ahead of his birthday again, he has released this new poster. Interest in the film has grown since the 'King' teaser, and discussion began over Shah Rukh's new look with greying hair, a full beard and a rugged appearance.

In the poster, Shah Rukh is seen standing in black clothing. His hair and beard have greyed. There are blood stains on the outfit and a serious expression on his face. Behind him is a circular structure surrounded by fire, flames are burning all around, and the whole scene carries an atmosphere of destruction.

Shah Rukh also attached a line to the poster. He wrote, 'Today I remembered again... not a killer, a lover.' The line has created curiosity among fans over what Shah Rukh meant by speaking of a lover in a poster with an action atmosphere.

After the poster was released, fans posted their reactions on social media. Some called Shah Rukh 'King', while others said they were waiting to see a new level of action in the film. One fan wrote, 'We are now in the era of King.' Another wrote that they were waiting for the next level of frenzy.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, 'King' is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 24 December; that is mentioned on the poster itself. The film is being produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix.

However, it is being speculated that some promotional teaser or trailer for the film may be released on Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming birthday on 2 November.

Alongside Shah Rukh, the new film will feature Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana.
