The District Detective Branch (DB) in Chattogram has recovered 107 mobile phones through a technology-based search after reviewing general diaries (GDs) filed over lost phones at 17 police stations in the district. The recovered phones were handed back to their actual owners at a ceremony at the Superintendent of Police's office on Tuesday (October 27).

Chattogram District Superintendent of Police Md Masud Alam, BPM, gave the information at a press briefing on Tuesday (October 27) morning. The ceremony was held at the Superintendent of Police's office.

At the briefing, the Superintendent of Police said the district police are working to ensure the security of people's property and to take effective steps to recover lost belongings.

He also said that after he took charge, various initiatives were taken to make law and order, crime suppression and public-service activities in the district more dynamic.

As part of that work, the District Detective Branch began a special operation to recover lost mobile phones. The GDs filed over mobile phone losses at the district's 17 police stations were reviewed.

A search was then carried out combining information technology and intelligence activity, and 107 phones were recovered. After the recovery, the phones were handed to their actual owners at Tuesday's ceremony.
