Alis Al Islam to take bowling-action test in Chennai, working on a changed action in Mirpur
Bangladesh right-arm spinner Alis Al Islam will take a bowling-action test in Chennai, India, a report said, citing a trusted source.
Match officials reported this spinner's bowling action as illegal after he made his debut against Afghanistan in the most recent tri-nation series. Bangladesh ended that tournament with a heavy defeat to Afghanistan.
The match officials' report raised concern about the legality of the 29-year-old bowler's action.
Under ICC rules, Alis must now pass a bowling-action test at an ICC-approved laboratory.
He has already submitted his visa processing work, and the mystery spinner will travel to India once the visa is issued.
Meanwhile, Alis is working on his bowling action in Mirpur. He practised again today, with Nasir Ahmed Nasu seen alongside him, and was seen making some changes to his action in practice.
