99.94% Pass at Narsingdi's Abdul Kadir Molla City College in HSC, 561 Students Get GPA-5

Maintaining its streak of success, Abdul Kadir Molla City College in Narsingdi has again achieved an outstanding result in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination. Of the 1,552 students from the institution who took the examination, 1,551 passed. The pass rate is 99.94 percent. A total of 561 students obtained GPA-5.
The picture of this success emerged in the results published by the Dhaka Education Board on Saturday morning (31 October). As soon as the results were published, joy and excitement spread across the college. Students, teachers and guardians celebrated and shared sweets.
The result came on a day when a mixed picture emerged over pass rates in different boards. According to information collected in this run, the pass rate was 50.90 percent in the Sylhet Board, 44.92 percent in the Jashore Board and 49.43 percent in the Technical Board. Against that backdrop, one college's near-100 percent pass rate drew particular attention.
In the college's department-wise results, the highest number of GPA-5 achievers came from the science department, with 394 students. In addition, 69 students from the business studies department and 98 students from the humanities department obtained GPA-5. Across the three departments, a total of 561 students achieved the highest grade point.
The institution missed the glory of a 100 percent pass only because of a single absence due to a student's illness. According to information given by the college authorities, that student was seriously ill and could not take part in the examination. As a result, all but one of the 1,552 candidates passed.
Sabbir Ahmed, who obtained GPA-5 from the science department, said he was extremely happy with the result. Without the disciplined environment of Abdul Kadir Molla City College and the day-and-night hard work of the teachers, this success would not have been possible today. The teachers' guideline in finishing class lessons in class and removing examination fear was extraordinary, he said.
Faria Yasmin, who obtained GPA-5 from the humanities department, said the same. She said that alongside their parents, the biggest contribution to their result came from the college teachers. Extra classes in weak subjects and personal supervision in particular brought them this great achievement. They are proud to be part of the college's continuing success, she said.
Dr Abdul Kadir Molla, founder and chairman of Abdul Kadir Molla City College and managing director of Thermax Group, expressed satisfaction and pride at the students' result. He said it is because of the teachers' hard work, the students' sincerity and perseverance and the guardians' cooperation that the light of Narsingdi has spread across the country today.
Dr Abdul Kadir Molla also said they give importance not only to good results, but to building a student as a good human being. A 100 percent achievement was not possible this time only because of one student's absence, but the achievement of all the other students has made them proud. They are more committed to maintaining this streak of success in future, he said.
