HSC results at Bholahat College in Chapainawabganj have collapsed. For three consecutive years, not a single student from the institution has passed.

The results published on Saturday (31 October) by the Rajshahi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education also showed that the college's only examinee in this year's HSC failed.

According to board data, only one student, from the humanities department, sat the 2026 HSC examination from Bholahat College. He ultimately failed, leaving the college's pass rate at zero percent.

Inquiries found that in the 2023 HSC examination, five students from two departments took part, of whom three failed. The college had 17 teachers that year. In 2024 and 2025 as well, one hundred percent of its students failed.

Attempts were made to reach Bholahat College principal Masud Rana by mobile phone for comment, but he could not be reached.

Chapainawabganj Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Shahin Sultana said, “A continuous result disaster at an educational institution is not acceptable in any way. We are looking into the institution's overall situation in detail. The situation will be reviewed through the local administration and necessary, effective administrative measures will be taken quickly.”
