Burglary at Militao's Home During El Clasico: Watches and Jewellery Worth 350,000 Euros Taken
While Real Madrid were celebrating victory over Barcelona in El Clasico, thieves struck at the home of the team's defender Eder Militao. Items including watches and jewellery worth about 350,000 euros were stolen from the Brazilian footballer's home. Spanish media outlet El Mundo reported the information on Saturday.
Militao was on the bench during Real's 2-1 win over Barcelona on Sunday. Taking that opportunity, the intruders entered through the bathroom window on the third floor of his home.
They then ransacked his bedroom. From there they fled with bags, watches and jewellery.
At the time of the incident, members of Militao's family were on the ground floor of the house. They were watching El Clasico on television. But although the burglary took place inside the house, nothing suspicious came to their notice.
The report noted that burglaries at the homes of star footballers have increased in Spain in recent years.
