AmCham's 30th US Trade Show opens in Dhaka on November 5 with 43 exhibitors

Staff Reporter

The 30th US Trade Show 2026, organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham), opens in Dhaka on November 5 to celebrate three decades of trade partnership between Bangladesh and the United States.

The three-day exhibition will run from November 5 to 7 at the InterContinental Dhaka hotel. Held with the support of the US Embassy in Dhaka, the show will feature 43 participating organisations across 63 booths.

AmCham announced the details at a press conference at the InterContinental Dhaka on Monday (November 2). The chamber's president Syed Mohammad Kamal, adviser Paul Frost, secretary Chowdhury Kaisar Mohammad Riad and member Al Amin M Russell were among the committee leaders present.

Speakers at the press conference said this year's event carries special significance as it marks AmCham's 30th anniversary. Alongside showcasing American products, services, technology and innovation, the show will highlight new prospects for trade, investment and business cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States.

The organisers said 36 companies from various industrial and business sectors and seven startups will take part. For the first time, the show will have separate sector-based zones, covering power and energy, information and communication technology (ICT) and the digital economy, banking and financial services, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), manufacturing and logistics, education and development, and agribusiness, among others. A dedicated startup zone will present the innovative ideas of new entrepreneurs.

Two new features for visitors are a Carnival Zone and a Heritage Corner. In the Carnival Zone, visitors will be able to buy products directly from participating companies, while the Heritage Corner will trace the long journey and evolution of the US Trade Show and its contribution to Bangladesh-US trade relations.

Another new addition this year is a three-day online visitor pass. By registering online and collecting a single pass, visitors will be able to enter the exhibition on all three days, from November 5 to 7.

Six thematic seminars will be held alongside the exhibition, where policymakers, industry leaders and experts will discuss Bangladesh's economic priorities and new business opportunities. The seminar topics include power and energy, healthcare and medical technology, ICT and the digital economy, women's leadership, investment opportunities in the United States through the SelectUSA programme, and the changing dynamics of Bangladesh-US trade relations.

Business delegations from various American chambers of commerce in the United States will also join the trade show. During their Bangladesh visit they will explore investment potential, exchange views with local businesses and look for new areas of commercial cooperation. The organisers hope their participation will create new business contacts and further strengthen trade ties at regional and international levels.

AmCham expects between 10,000 and 15,000 visitors over the three days. The exhibition at the InterContinental Dhaka will remain open to visitors from 10am to 8pm daily from November 5 to 7, and the organisers have encouraged interested visitors to register online for the three-day visitor pass.
