Kazi Mohammad Saiful Islam appointed Rajshahi divisional commissioner

The government has appointed Kazi Mohammad Saiful Islam, an additional secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, as the new divisional commissioner of Rajshahi.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued the gazette notification in this regard on Monday (2 November).

Before this appointment, Saiful Islam had been under a transfer order to serve as director general of the Bureau of Non-Formal Education.

The previous divisional commissioner of Rajshahi, Yusuf Ali, was stand-released on 20 October and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.

That administrative action against Yusuf Ali followed allegations of a protocol breach during the prime minister's visit to Rajshahi.
