Bangladesh AI Business Summit Begins in Dhaka on 5 November, Six Thousand Expected

Staff Reporter

The 'Bangladesh AI Business Summit 2026' will be held in the capital Dhaka on 5 November. The national technology conference has been organised to increase the practical use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the country, drive the digital transformation of business and commerce, and attract new investment in modern innovation.

Held under the theme 'AI-fication for Tomorrow's Economy,' the conference is expected to draw around six thousand people, including experts, entrepreneurs and students, the organisers hope.

The conference is being held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the capital, under the joint initiative of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will attend and formally inaugurate the technology conference, the organisers said.

According to the organisers' published outline, alongside an inaugural session the conference will run three separate specialised thematic sessions. Around 27 speakers from home and abroad, including chief guests, special discussants and technology specialists, will present their views in those sessions.

Trade representatives, corporate policymakers, information technology specialists, researchers and startup founders will have the opportunity to take part. Around two thousand distinguished guests invited by the ministry and the DCCI, and more than two hundred delegates in each session, will attend, the organisers said.

As part of the conference, an exhibition with around 142 stalls is being arranged to showcase innovation and technology services. Alongside domestic firms, five international firms in total, one from the United States and four from Pakistan, will present their modern AI services there.

The exhibition will also directly showcase AI-based projects and prototypes built by students of 20 higher education institutions in total, 19 universities and one college in the country, highlighting the younger generation's progress in technology research.

The conference will mainly discuss the integration of AI technology into productivity in the business and industrial sectors, institutional innovation, links between academia and industry, responsible AI policymaking, and future investment prospects.

Those involved hope the event will not only contribute to the development of technology, but also open new horizons of international partnership and institutional cooperation for domestic startups.
