Giannis says Doncic could be the best scorer of all time after Lakers star pours in 42 against the Heat

Giannis Antetokounmpo has offered high praise to fellow All-Star Luka Doncic after the Los Angeles Lakers star went on another scoring tear on Monday night, calling him one of the best scorers to play the game, if not the best.
Doncic scored 42 points in the Lakers' 138-117 win over the Heat on Monday. He also had 13 assists and seven rebounds in the win.
The performance brought the Slovenian's scoring average this season to 38.3 points per game, the best in the NBA. Over the last five games he is averaging 43.4 points.
Antetokounmpo said Doncic is obviously one of the best scorers to play this game, if not the best. Asked to clarify, he replied that he did not mean right now, but of all time, adding that some people are scared to say that, but Doncic has to be up there.
The career numbers support the claim's scale. Doncic's career scoring average of 29.32 points per game trails only those of Michael Jordan (30.12) and Wilt Chamberlain (30.07).
Doncic is 165th on the all-time points list at 15,289 points, but he is still only 27 years old.
The Lakers are 6-2 to start the season, with Doncic's scoring run a central part of that start.
Doncic's Lakers teammate Quentin Grimes said it feels as if almost anything Doncic shoots — whether a circus shot, a regular step-back three or a tough floater — is going to go in, adding that he had never before been on the court when everything somebody shoots looks certain to go in, and calling Doncic's current run a crazy heater.
