DESCO prepaid recharge may be disrupted for 24 hours, only for meters starting with 03

Dhaka Electricity Supply PLC (DESCO) has said its prepaid recharge service may be temporarily disrupted for 24 hours because of work to upgrade the prepaid system.

The company gave the information in an urgent notice issued on Wednesday morning (4 November).

According to the notice, the upgrade work will run from 10pm on Thursday to 10pm on Friday, and the recharge service may be disrupted during that period.

DESCO said the warning applies only to customers whose meter numbers start with 03.

The company asked those customers to recharge enough money into their prepaid meters in advance so that their electricity supply remains uninterrupted.

Customers were asked to call 16120 or 16999 if needed. DESCO apologised to customers for the temporary inconvenience.
