Ninth Teacher Appointment Exam May Be Held in December, NTRCA to Recruit Directly for the First Time

The ninth teacher appointment examination of the Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) may be held next December. The plan is to organise the examination after the ongoing viva voce for the recruitment of heads and assistant heads of educational institutions ends.
According to NTRCA sources, the viva voce for the recruitment of heads and assistant heads of institutions is currently under way. It is scheduled to end on December 9. The ninth teacher appointment examination may be organised after that.
However, a final decision on the examination will be taken only after approval from the Ministry of Education, the sources said.
A major change is coming to the recruitment process in this examination. For the first time, candidates will be appointed directly through the examination, instead of the registration test being used only to verify eligibility.
For that reason, in the earlier sequence it will be considered the ninth teacher appointment examination, rather than the 19th teacher registration examination.
The notice for the most recent, 18th, teacher registration examination was published on November 4, 2023. Its preliminary examination was held in March 2024, about four months later. After a long gap since then, a new teacher appointment examination is now set to be organised.
