After bail cancellation and arrest warrant, Pori Moni says she will appear in court today

Actress Pori Moni has said she will appear in court today after her bail was cancelled and an arrest warrant was issued against her. The court passed the order yesterday in a case filed by businessman Nasir Uddin Mahmud.

Speaking to Prothom Alo, Pori Moni said, 'I will go to court tomorrow, since they have already issued the warrant.' In other words, she announced her decision to appear in court the day after the warrant was issued.

Yesterday was the scheduled day for recording testimony in the case filed by Nasir Uddin Mahmud. However, Pori Moni did not appear in court that day.

On her behalf, lawyer Nilanjana Rifat filed a petition seeking more time. The petition stated that Pori Moni could not come to court that day because she was ill with an allergy-related problem.

The actress said the long legal process is putting pressure on her work and family life. Speaking about five years of going back and forth to court in various cases, she at one point asked, 'Will this go on for my whole life?'

It is understood from her remarks that she will appear in court today and take the next legal steps.
