Three Petrol Bombs Thrown at LGED and Chandgaon Land Offices in Chattogram, No Casualties

Attackers threw petrol bombs at two government offices in Chattogram city on Thursday night at around 8:30pm, in the Sholoshahar area under Panchlaish Police Station.
The bombs were thrown from the Akhtaruzzaman flyover towards the front of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) office and the Chandgaon land office.
Panchlaish Police Station's officer-in-charge, Mozammel Haque, said at night that a total of three petrol bombs were thrown in front of the two offices.
The officer-in-charge said the bombs that landed in front of the LGED office broke apart and did not catch fire.
The bomb that landed in front of the Chandgaon land office burned for eight to ten seconds before going out, after which staff there threw it into a drain.
No one was injured in the incident, and no damage was reported.
Mozammel Haque added that the petrol bombs may have been thrown from a motorcycle or a car travelling on the flyover.
Police are collecting and reviewing CCTV footage from nearby buildings after the incident, and work is under way to identify those involved, the officer-in-charge said.
