Inqilab Mancha has held a 'March for Insaf' programme at the University of Chittagong with a three-point demand including the trial of the killing of Osman Hadi.

On Thursday evening (November 5), the protest march started from the university's Zero Point, circled the Kata Pahar road and ended at the Shaheed Minar premises.

Inqilab Mancha's announced three-point demand is: the trial of the Osman Hadi killing, implementation of the people's verdict of the referendum, and trials for the Shapla, Pilkhana and July massacres.

During the march, participants chanted various slogans, including 'We want justice, justice, justice, we want justice for the Hadi killing', 'Osman Hadi, Bangladesh's freedom', 'Delhi or Dhaka, Dhaka Dhaka' and 'My brother's blood will not go in vain'.

After the march, a rally was held at the Shaheed Minar premises. Inqilab Mancha's central convener Abdullah Al Jaber addressed it. After his speech, he answered various questions from the students present.

Abdullah Al Jaber said Osman Hadi was not martyred because of any personal enmity. He had no land dispute with anyone and no personal case either. He was martyred for speaking for Bangladesh's independence and sovereignty. Trying his killing is a duty of the Bangladesh state, he said.

He added that through this trial Osman Hadi personally would gain nothing, but Bangladesh would set an example of establishing justice (insaf). The right of a citizen to get justice for a wrong done to them must be ensured, he said.

Notably, Inqilab Mancha's 'March for Insaf' programme began from Banglabandha on October 6. After programmes at various places across the country, the programme is scheduled to conclude in Teknaf.
