Justice Department Opens Criminal Probe Into Supreme Court Leak That Exposed Roe v Wade Ruling
The leak that exposed the US Supreme Court's draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade is now under criminal investigation by the Department of Justice, years after the court's own hunt for the culprit came up empty.
US Attorney Jeanine Pirro's Washington office is leading the probe, multiple sources briefed on the matter told Fox News.
Politico published the draft before the 2022 ruling, prompting Chief Justice John Roberts to order an internal investigation. That investigation was unable to determine who leaked the draft opinion overturning the federal constitutional right to abortion.
The Justice Department declined to comment on the investigation.
